Object Menu

The Object menu offers the following options:

Menu Option Submenu Option Description
Select   Select to activate the Page Layout operation, allowing you to perform simple object movement and scaling. For more information, see Move Object.
Rotate   Select to activate the Object Edit operation, allowing you move, scale, skew, and rotate an object. For more information, see Transform Object.
Resize   Select to activate the Edit Vertices operation, allowing you to set points in polygon and curve objects and create intricate shapes. For more information, see Vertex Editor Dialog Box.
Lock/Unlock   Select to prohibit or allow changes to a selected object’s transformation. For more information, see Lock/Unlock Object.
Shapes Rectangle Select to add a rectangle object. For more information, see Rectangle Objects.
  Ellipse Select to add an ellipse object. For more information, see Ellipse Objects.
  Horizontal Line Select to add a horizontal line object. For more information, see Line Objects (Horizontal and Vertical).
  Vertical Line Select to add a vertical line object. For more information, see Line Objects (Horizontal and Vertical).
  Triangle Select to add a triangle object. For more information, see Triangle Objects.
  Star Select to add a star object. For more information, see Star Objects.
  Polygon Select to begin drawing a polygon object. For more information, see Polygon Objects .
  Spline Select to begin drawing a curve object. For more information, see Curve Objects.
Image   Select to display the Open dialog box to browse for image files to insert as an object onto the current page. For more Image Objects.
Text   Select to open the Text Editor dialog box in Text Edit Mode to create text as an object onto the current page. For more information, see Text Objects.
Title   Select to open the Title Editor dialog box to create a title as an object on the current page. For more information, see Title Objects.
Code   Select to open the Text Editor dialog box in Code Edit Mode to create or load code as an object onto the current page. For more information, see Code Objects.
Table   Select to add a table object. For more information, see Table Objects.
Import Foreign Object   Select to open the Foreign Object/Media dialog box to insert files, plug-ins, HTML IFrames, SVG files frames, Macromedia® Flash® files, or other multimedia files as an object onto the current page. For more information, see Foreign Objects.
Forms Button Select to create a new button form object. For more information, see Button.
  Check Box Select to create a new checkbox form object. For more information, see Checkbox.
  Radio Button Select to create a new radio button form object. For more information, see Radio Button.
  Text Box Select to create a new text box form object. For more information, see Text Box.
  Image Select to create a new image form object. For more information, see Image.
  File Upload Box Select to create a new file upload form object. For more information, see File Upload.

  Edit Form Item With a form object selected, select to open the Form Editor dialog box. For more information, see Form Editor Dialog Box.

Quick Property Editor   Select to open the Quick Properties Editor dialog box. For more information, see Quick Properties Editor Dialog Box .

Show Vertex Editor   Select to enable or disable the display of the Vertex Editor dialog box when editing vector drawing objects, such as a curve or polygon. For more information, see Vertex Editor Dialog Box.
