Curvy Shapes

The Straight Shapes tutorial covers shapes with straight lines.

For this tutorial, turn the snap grid off -- this will allow you much finer adjustments. Or, hold the Shift key down to disable it temporarily while you drag.

In this tutorial, we'll look at the curvy shapes. In WebDwarf, there are not many, but the topics we cover here are:

Ellipse (and circle)
Titles with special fonts
Windows Character Map
Ellipse (and circle)

Create an ellipse object as you did a rectangle, but this time select the Ellipse on the left Tools toolbar, or again, from the Object menu.

The ellipse starts life a as circle, but you can stretch it, skew and rotate it by dragging its drag handles with your mouse.

Titles with special fonts

Use a Title Object with Webdings, Wingdings, or any other font to make a title and stretch to as large as you need. These fonts have a variety of shapes, you can color them, and they look good even when enlarged.

Windows Character Map

The Windows Start Button > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map lets you to see and select the characters available in each font on your system, and allows you to copy your chosen characters to the Windows clipboard. From there you can copy into a Title Object.
