Format Menu

The Format Menu on the Text Editor dialog box offers the following options:

Menu Option Submenu Option Description
Text Object Style Rich Text Select Rich Text format for the text object.
  Title Text Select Title Text format for the text object.
  Generic Code Select Generic Code format for the text object.
Font   Opens the Font dialog box, allowing you to specify a font, font size, style, and effect to apply to text in the Text Editor dialog box. (Not available in Code Edit Mode.)
Save Current Font Settings   Saves your current font settings. (Not available in Code Edit Mode.)
Reload Saved Font Settings   Recalls your last saved font settings and applies them to highlighted text in the Text Editor dialog box. (Not available in Code Edit Mode.)
Show All Font Character Sets   Displays all language character sets (e.g., Greek, Western, Baltic, etc.) for each available web-safe font. Note that even when selected only the charsets you have available on your system can be used.
Bold   Applies a boldface effect to the highlighted text in the Text Editor dialog box. (Not available in Code Edit Mode.)
Underline   Underlines the highlighted text in the Text Editor dialog box. (Not available in Code Edit Mode.)
Italic   Italicizes the highlighted text in the Text Editor dialog box. (Not available in Code Edit Mode.)
Strike Through   Applies a strikethrough effect to highlighted text in the Text Editor dialog box. (Not available in Code Edit Mode.)
Justify Left Sets line justification to the left. (Not available in Code Edit Mode.)
  Center Centers line justification. (Not available in Code Edit Mode.)
  Right Sets line justification to the right. (Not available in Code Edit Mode.)
  Full Right and left justifies the selected text (i.e., spreads the text horizontally to fill the text object). Note that some browsers do not recognize full text justification and that it will be visible only on preview or publishing. In the Work Window it will appear left justified.. (Not available in Code Edit Mode.)
Color   Opens the Color dialog box that allows you to select a system or custom color to apply to highlighted text. (Not available in Code Edit Mode.)
No CSS Positioning   Select to toggle on or off the removal of the CSS positioning attributes (that is, the <div> </div> wrapper) from the underlying code. (Available only in Code Edit Mode. Other modes can turn off CSS positioning in the Object Editor if required.)
Use Auto-Scroll Box   Adds a vertical scrollbar to your text object. This is useful if you have long text passages. If you do not add a scrollbar to text that exceeds the vertical dimensions of the text object, the text will be cut off. (Not available in Code or Title Edit Mode.)
