Customize Toolbar Dialog Box

Click the Customize button to the left of a toolbar name in the Toolbar Options dialog box (right-click a toolbar or View>Toolbar Options&ldots;) to open the Customize Toolbar dialog box.

Use the Customize Toolbar dialog box to choose which toolbar buttons will appear in the selected toolbar.

Add or remove buttons from a toolbar using the Customize Toolbar dialog box.

Controls on the Customize Tools dialog box include the following:

Field/Control Description
Available toolbar buttons Displays toolbar buttons available to be added to the selected toolbar.
Displayed with the toolbar buttons is a Separator object, which you may use to differentiate groups of buttons on the toolbar.
Add Click the button to move a highlighted toolbar button from the Available toolbar buttons list to the Current toolbar buttons list.
Remove Click the button to move a highlighted toolbar button from the Current toolbar buttons list to the Available toolbar buttons list.
Current toolbar buttons Displays toolbar buttons currently available and in the order they appear (left to right) in the selected toolbar.
Close Click to accept the current settings and exit the dialog box.
Reset Click to restore the selected toolbar to its default selection of toolbar buttons.
If you cannot find an undocked or floating toolbar on your screen, click the Reset button to bring it back into view.
Help Click to open a context-sensitive help topic.
Move Up With a toolbar button highlighted in the Current toolbar buttons list, click to move the button up one position in the list. This will have the effect of moving the button one position to the left on the selected toolbar.
Move Down With a toolbar button highlighted in the Current toolbar buttons list, click to move the button up down position in the list. This will have the effect of moving the button one position to the right on the selected toolbar
 
Customizing a Toolbar
  1. Right-click the mouse on any toolbar in the Work Window.

    The Toolbar Options dialog box will open.

  2. Locate the toolbar you want to hide in the Show Toolbar list.
  3. Click the Customize button that is associated with the toolbar you want to customize.

    The Customize Toolbar dialog box will open.

    Click to select a button option in the Available Toolbar Buttons box that you want to add to the toolbar, and then click the Add button to move it to the Current Toolbar Buttons box

    OR

    Click to select a button option in the Current Toolbar Buttons box that you want to remove from the toolbar, and then click the Remove button to move it to the Available Toolbar Buttons box.

  4. Repeat step 3 to customize additional buttons.
  5. When you are finished, click OK. The Customize Toolbar dialog box will close.
  6. Click OK to close the Toolbar Options dialog box. The toolbar will appear with your customizations in the Work Window.
